What is thriving on your high street?
If got a spare floor in a shop with its own entrance and window - furnish me with your ideas for it.

Traditional retail is struggling but unique and experience shopping ideas are doing well.

What are you seeing thriving on the high street where you are? Let me know and I’ll rip it off.

The best idea gets a 1% discount on all purchases for 1 day.

My favourite chain store is ROBERT DYAS.

Doggy daycare

One of those mobile phone kiosks staffed by a middle eastern man who leans out, always next to a cashpoint.

It's not the same, W67. I use Screwfix, but it isn't a PLEASURE.

By which I mean, in both stores I could pick up, say, a box of hollow wall anchors, but in Screwfix you can't ALSO pick up some nicely shaped jars for jam making, or a sandwich toaster, or a stain devil for ink.

There was a vegetarian butchers down Bethnal green rd.

I’m not sure what was hanging in the window, but my sagging, wrinkled ball bag looks more appealing.

Re: What is thriving on your high street?
I have not purposefully sought one in there, W67, but I would not be at all surprised if you can.

To me, a branch of Robert Dyas presents the same sense of wonder, discovery and magic as the Costume Shop in Mr Benn.
